For just about everyone (ourselves included), the first contact with the wonderful world of online marketing is had with affiliate marketing.

Everywhere you read, all the gurus and online marketing millionaires advocate going the route of affiliate marketing, at first. And it makes perfectly good sense. After all, there are a vast number of advantages to a business model that doesn’t require you to carry any stock, fulfill orders, or indeed, not even needing to have your own product in the first place. You can go into any market, and start making money.

Couple this boon with the added benefit of Affiliate Marketing being a “complete” methodology, a business model which needs a fully systematic approach to be profitable, and you have the basis for learning a real entrepreneurial operation. So you not only make money, but you embark on a journey to learning valuable skills at the same time. And it all pays off in ever-increasing revenue, as you get better and better at it.

But tragically, when it comes to Affiliate Marketing, a lot of people are really at a loss for what to do. Just look around, and count how many affiliates fail to make any profit at all (or indeed, even LOSE money). It’s estimated that only about 4% of all online marketing affiliates manage to rely on their online efforts as their sole source of income.

And ironically, for being the so often advocated and preached “first step” for dipping one’s toes in the waters of Online Marketing… the newbie finds it to be ridiculously difficult, overwhelming, and frustrating. We don’t believe in mystifying affiliate marketing, and we’re not comfortable with giving you just a little bit, to leave you hanging, and with the need to buy yet another piece of the puzzle, in order to really make it work. Most gurus want to milk you dry, shamelessly selling you on “one time offers”, upsells, back-end sells, and any other way they can exploit to get you shelling out more money to buy their products… over and over again.

And the newbies fall for it.

Hey, you can’t blame them. They’re green and wet behind the ears in an industry made of persuasive masters of the written word (and every other weapon under the sun), whose only goal is to sell sell sell!! And then sell again. So the aspiring affiliate marketer buys into it. Then, after struggling with it, he looks at his credit card statement, and screams, “OMG!”, then looks at his affiliate commissions, and cries, “WTF?!”

Now, can you guess which of the two figures is usually massively and disproportionately higher?

But fortunately, some people DO get it. For these people, after their initial struggle, it’s smooth and easy sailing into rich ports of pure profits… every day. These people think like us, and they believe that if something works, then make it bigger and better.
